Winery and hospitality photography in the Okanagan

Guests book a tasting, a table or a room with their eyes first. If your photos are dark or five years old, they book somewhere else. Hiilite Photography photographs wineries, wine tours, resorts, restaurants and breweries across the Okanagan, on location, so your website and booking pages look like the place guests walk into.

On location, around your service

We come to you. A hospitality shoot has to work around guests and staff, so we plan the timing with you: suites between checkout and check-in, dining rooms before service, patios when the light is right. We photograph the spaces, the details, and the people who run the place.

Resorts, suites and lakeside stays

For a resort or short-term rental, the room photos do the selling on your website and on booking sites. We shoot suites, lobbies, shared spaces and the lake view guests are paying for. Windows are exposed so the view outside still shows, and the room inside stays bright. Our past work includes The Cove Lakeside Resort.

Breweries, cideries and restaurants

For a taproom or restaurant, we photograph the room, the bar, the people pouring and the product. We’ve shot Rustic Reel on location in downtown Kelowna’s Brewery District, and their beer cans in our Water Street studio. Your cans and bottles can come to the studio too, for clean shots on white or black ready for your online shop.

Wineries and tasting rooms

Wine is sold on place as much as taste. We’ve photographed Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery in West Kelowna in winter: the building from outside, the tasting and dining room, and the details inside. We’ve also shot for Wicked Wine Tours, a wine touring company that works with wineries across the Okanagan: guests tasting among the vines, a tasting bar, and the vineyard at sunset. Our winery lifestyle shoots put people in the picture, on the patio and in the rows. Bottle shots for your online shop and wine club can be done in the studio on the same booking.

Plan around the Okanagan seasons

What you can show depends on when you shoot. Spring is the time for patio and lakeside photos, ready before summer bookings open. Harvest brings picking, crush and a full tasting room. Winter is quiet, which makes it the easiest time to reshoot rooms, menus and interiors without working around a crowd. If you want harvest or patio shots, ask early so we can hold a date in your window.

What you get

Every session includes 10 edited photos, delivered as full-size JPEG files within 48 hours of the shoot. Usage rights are unlimited, so the photos can go on your website, booking sites, social posts, ads and print.

Pricing: sessions from $500

Sessions start at $500 and include 10 edited, full-size JPEGs with unlimited usage rights. Every venue is different, so send us three things: your venue and address, your shot list (a rough one is fine), and the dates that work for you. We’ll come back with a quote.

Our satisfaction guarantee covers on-location work too. If the photos aren’t right, we fix them or reshoot. If you still don’t love them, you get your money back.

How a hospitality shoot runs

Say you manage a lakeside resort in West Kelowna and summer bookings open in March. The suites were renovated last fall, but the website still shows the old ones. In February we shoot the new suites on a quiet weekday, between checkout and check-in. In May, once the weather turns, we come back for the beach and the patio. Your booking pages show the new rooms before the busy season starts.

Tell us the venue, the shot list and your dates. We’ll send back a quote.
